Complementing the journal, the "International Conference on AI and Sustainability" serves as a dynamic forum for the dissemination and discussion of the latest research and developments in these critical areas. Held biannually, the conference attracts a diverse array of academics, industry experts, and policymakers. Special Collection for Conference Papers
The AIS issues a call for papers targeting the conference collection, selecting the top submissions to be featured at the conference. Additionally, authors who have published with us throughout the year are invited to present their work at the conference.
Important Dates
For paper to be considered for the conference collection and to be presented at the conference, you must submit the paper to AIS by the following deadlines:
Full paper submission deadline: October 31, 2024
Author notification (acceptance, major/minor revision, and rejection): November 1 - November 15 , 2024
Announcement of top 5 papers: November 7, 2024
Revision submission deadline: December 7, 2024
Final notification for Submission: December 20, 2024
Conference: January 24 - January 26, 2025
Top Papers
The top papers are selected based on their contribution to the field, originality, and impact. These papers will have the opportunity for:
Presentation at the Harvard Conference: The best papers will be invited to present their research at the conference.
Immersion Week: Authors may have the opportunity to participate in an immersion week (with a fee), experiencing in-depth interactions with industry experts, professors, and peers.
Formatting Instructions
Submission Format: All submissions must be in PDF format, and in a single PDF file include, in this order:
The submitted paper
Technical appendices that support the paper with additional proofs, derivations, or results
Style File: You must format your submission using the AIS LaTeX style file
Publication Fee
As an Open Access Journal, we charge a $2,000 Article Processing Charge (APC) post-acceptance to cover the costs of making articles publicly accessible. However, if your work is exceptionally meritorious, we may have funding available to cover all or part of the fee.
Submission Process
Prepare Your Manuscript: Follow the formatting instructions using the AIS LaTeX style file. Include all necessary technical appendices in a single PDF file.
Submit Your Paper: Ensure your submission is complete and adheres to all guidelines. Submit your paper by the deadline on September 15, 2024.
Review Process: Your paper will undergo a thorough review process. Notifications of acceptance, major/minor revisions, or rejection will be sent between October 1 and October 15, 2024.
Revision Submission: If your paper requires revisions, submit the revised version by November 1, 2024.
Final Notification: Final decisions and announcements of the top 5 papers will be made on November 7, 2024.

Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions. This includes refraining from disruptive behavior during sessions, networking events, and social activities.
Compliance: Adhere to the rules and policies of the venue and any applicable laws.
Unacceptable Behavior
Harassment: Harassment, including offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, appearance, or any other protected characteristic.
Violence and Threats: Physical or verbal threats, intimidation, or any form of violence.
Inappropriate Communication: Any form of inappropriate communication, including sexually explicit or offensive content, unwelcome sexual attention, and trolling or deliberate disruption.
Plagiarism and Misrepresentation: Presenting someone else's work as your own or misrepresenting your work or achievements.
Reporting and Enforcement
Reporting: If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it to a member of the ICAIS organizing team immediately. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
Enforcement: Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately. The ICAIS organizing team may take any action they deem appropriate, including warnings, expulsion from the conference without a refund, and notification of the offender's institution.
